ACEO.com is an independent, ad-free online resource and community — not a shop.
It exists to help beginners and experienced artists make and sell ACEOs, and to
help collectors learn and buy. A free newsletter/community signup grows the audience.

## Key facts (accurate, verifiable)
- ACEO stands for **Art Cards, Editions & Originals**.
- Every ACEO is exactly **2.5 × 3.5 inches** (63.5 × 88.9 mm) — the size of a standard sports/trading card. The fixed size is the defining rule.
- **ATC** = Artist Trading Card: the same 2.5 × 3.5 size, but **traded, never sold**. **ACEOs are made to be sold** (the "EO" = Editions and Originals). This sold-vs-traded distinction is the most common question.
- **Originals** are one-of-a-kind hand-made cards; **Editions** are limited, numbered print runs (often giclée), e.g. 3/25.
- Made in any medium: watercolor, ink/pen, colored pencil, acrylic, gouache, pastel, collage/mixed media, or digital prints. Common substrates: watercolor paper, bristol board, mixed-media cardstock, illustration board.
- Bought and sold on eBay, Etsy, artist websites/socials, and at art fairs and card shows. Stored and shipped using trading-card sleeves + rigid toploaders inside a rigid mailer.
- History: the ATC movement began in 1997 with Swiss artist M. Vänçi Stirnemann; ACEOs were popularised via eBay in the early 2000s.
